Designed for either front or rear installation, this premium four-sensor kit delivers accurate, reliable detection of obstacles, helping you manoeuvre effortlessly in tight spaces and avoid costly bumps or scrapes. The system can be configured for front or rear use, and each high-performance 58kHz ultrasonic sensor provides excellent detection accuracy and stability, reducing false alerts and maintaining dependable performance in all weather conditions.
The PTX400EX-DP features an adjustable detection range, operating from 0.3 to 2.5 metres when installed at the rear and from 0.3 to 0.9 metres when installed at the front, where activation occurs via the brake pedal and automatically deactivates after a timed delay. The semi-flush sensor design sits slightly proud of the bumper surface, making it particularly well-suited for vehicles with curved or contoured bumpers where a flush fit may not be practical. Each sensor includes interchangeable clip-on heads set at 0°, 4°, and 10°, allowing precise alignment to match different bumper profiles and ensure a neat, professional appearance.
The system’s five-stage adjustable buzzer provides clear, progressive audio warnings with selectable pitch tones and a volume range of 70 - 90dB, helping you judge distance with confidence and park safely every time.
For drivers wanting additional guidance, the system can be upgraded with optional visual displays. The DS1 slimline display provides a clear visual representation of obstacles, while the DS2 offers a larger, more advanced display with enhanced feedback and improved readability. The sensors can also be professionally colour-coded to match your vehicle’s paintwork for a discreet, seamless appearance or they come in a standard, matt black, gloss black, white or silver option.
